November 9, 2011 It's been a while since the last update. Let's play a bit of catch up.Prey wasn't selected for Tromadance. That's fine, the next project will be much better anyways. Prey did however receive an IMDb page which you can view here. It's nice that even with all the problems of that film, the cast and crew have a little something to show for their effort. Although I edited the trailer for the Cover Up, due to circumstances beyond my control the film editing was done by another party. It has since premiered at New Filmmakers NY. I was hired to work press at New York Comic Con 2011 for GoodGuyEvilGuy.com. Four full days of absolute geekery. It was a great expierience. I filmed, produced and edited nine videos so far which can be seen at the a fore mentioned site as well as the video section of this site. One more video is still to come from that event which I hope to upload within the next few days. I will again be teaming up with Joe Meli coming shortly as he begins preparations for his first feature length film. As of yet, my actual role hasn't been defined due to scheduling conflicts, I expect to be responsible for some light SFX makeup work February 18, 2011 Prey has been submitted to film festivals. As of today, screeners have been sent to both Tromadance and the Filmdemic Screening Series. Additionally, Rotten Luck, featuring SFX makeup by Tim Brooks has also been submitted to Tromadance. We will update here with any news regarding the selection status of either film February 5, 2011 Prey, Tim's most recent short film has finally been completed after numerous problems and delays. Considering all that went wrong during the filming and post production, it's amazing that this project was ever finished, let alone having a watchable film. Prey will be submitted to festivals in the near future. February 2, 2011 Tim will be attending the Celtx NYC Live Demo on February 10 at 5:30. They will be giving a full demonstration of their new pre-production software, Celtx v2.9. If you also would like to attend, you can get a free ticket here. January 30, 2011 Tim Brooks has been brought on to edit a new short film. The project, called "The Cover Up", is directed by Edward M. Kelahan. It is written by John Erik Rueter, Teel James
Glenn, and Edward M. Kelahan. Rotten Luck by Dangio Films has been accepted into the New Filmmakers New York Film Festival. Tim Brooks was responsible for the special effects makeup in the film. |
